Hello and Welcome

March 21, 2014

Hello and welcome to Miss Chardy.  I decided to start this blog back in February.  You see, we returned home here to the station on 20 January and I have not really been anywhere since.  So it has been about 2 months.  For a raving extrovert this is a tough ask.  I have been going a little bonkers and really needed an outlet to connect with people.  Of course there is always facebook and I thank my friends who are often up for a chat on there.  Things got a bit desperate and I was really craving some human contact, so I have been doing a few webinars, just to connect with the outside world. For my last webinar I treated it like I was heading out for the evening, to a conference, ha ha ha.  I organised my husband to Babysit the children.  I showered, got dressed up and even put on some make up and jewellery, poured myself a wine and walked into the office to join my “conference”.  The Webinar was called “A Cuppa With” however I thought “A Wine With” sounded like way more fun……. gee really sounds like I need to get a life doesn’t it?

A little bit about my family.  I have three gorgeous boys:

Doyle Boys Email 2013

Tom is 9 and is practically my personal assistant.  He is far more organised than I could ever hope to be.  He is quite serious and likes things to be just right.  He is always dressed to perfection as if he is about to run the stock camp: jeans, work shirt, boots, belt with pocket knife pouch, and hat – all set just in case there is the possibility that he can go out with Dad.

Harry is 7, very happy go lucky.  He is easy going and very kind hearted.  He is an animal lover.  Quite different to Tom, he is happy to stay inside with me, he likes to hang upside down on the lounge and watch ABC 3.  He prefers shorts and a t-shirt and is lucky if he can find a pair of shoes to wear.

Clancy is 2, yes the terrible two’s are in full swing at the moment.  He was our little “surprise package” and we can’t imagine life without him.  He is super cute and very funny.  He loves annoying his big brothers and stealing their precious toys.  He is also quite partial to hanging upside down with Harry and watching ABC Kids.

O and yes, I do have a husband who is a bit shy and I don’t think he would appreciate going VIRAL, so no photo’s of my big spunk sorry.

So there you have it, my first post, I am sure it can only get better, and hopefully more interesting from here.  I look forward to sharing lots of laughs with you.

Am I the only crazy person who does these things?

Do you get dressed up sometimes, just because you are sick of looking like no one owns you?

Lets be crazy together.

Congratulations on your FIRST post Miss Chardy. Hope you are celebrating with one right now. And yes, usually on a Sunday I make an effort and then find myself outside in the heat dealing with chooks, dogs and rubbish…

Sadly it’s too often that I look like no one owns me – lovely to learn more about you and your three – tell me it gets easier?! Thanks so much for linking 🙂 and have a happy week! Emily

Hi Emily, so great to hear from you. I really enjoyed reading your blog today, looking forward to reading more of it. I noticed you from one of the comments you left on Baby Macs Blog, I thought “Have a laugh on me” sounds like my kind of girl. I am in the thick of toddler hell at the moment (he is getting used to “Time Out” very quickly), so no use asking me if it gets easier….but I know it will…may take another 2 years for me though. I love that you have links to all those blogs on yours, good work.

    Hullo Miss Chardy,
You are a natural at this blogging caper! Welcome to the network of bloggers that can make a girl feel like she is OUT and about without leaving the desk. Yes I do sometimes get dressed up even though I’m now mostly a stay at home mum. Especially when the hairdresser comes – after she’s made my hair all pretty I go and sort out the rest to match. All the best, I will keep reading, you keep writing.

Dear Miss Chardy I’m in Broome and needed to feed six hungry men … so this is what I googled and your recipes popped up! I’ve made the bacon and egg pies in full size, the beef stroganoff and this morning, the spicy fruit stick buns made from leftover fruit mince from Xmas! All winners thanks to you x
