Cocktails & Salad Dressing (The Bomb!)

April 25, 2014

Mr Chardy arrived home last night.  Check out what he bought on his way through town.  What a legend!  I think I will keep him.  Doesn’t look like we will be needing the divorce lawyer at this stage of our marriage.

Moet

Now anyone who knows me knows that one of my favourite cocktail is a Japanese Slipper.  A friend got me onto them (thanks Kath!) and I have never looked back.  Although I did turn my nose up the first time Kath suggested we make them, I read the ingredients and said “yuck”.   Well let me tell you people, it is far from yuck and has become the welcome drink here at Home Chardy.  We have never had a disappointed customer, both men and women.  Mr Chardy makes the best batch actually.  So here is what you need:

Japanese Slipper

30 ml Midori

30 ml Cointreau

30 ml Lemon Juice (we just use the Lemon Squeeze in the bottle)

Pop all the ingredients into a blender with enough ice to transform it into a slushie.  Blend away.  You can rim your cocktail glasses with sugar if your little heart desires, but we don’t bother anymore.

Let me know how you go – you won’t be sorry.  It’s “Nice, it’s different, it’s unusual”….

Slippers

Now, while we are at it.  Another one of my all time favourite things is Di Ridge’s Poppy Seed Salad Dressing.  It has to be Di Ridge’s though!  Holy cow, this stuff is the bomb.  We call it liquid gold.  It can transform a boring old green salad into something spectacular.  Just so yummy it isn’t funny.  Di and her family live on a sheep station near Bourke in NSW.  I first met Di when I was a young Governess down that way.  Such a lovely lady from the land doing wonderful things. For more information and to order online check out Di’s website at: Di Ridge Salad Dressing   There is also a list of stores that stock this UNREAL dressing…from Bourke to Brewarrina, from Moss Vale to Mount Isa, the list goes on.

Hooray for Mr Chardy! Very spoilt. My husband tends to bring me a bag of washing home from his trips, I bet you have one of those too. Washing and MOET, would be GREAT! That salad dressing is delicious! Better order some more asap. 2015 is the year I will be visiting for a JS. I have not ever had one. Sad I know. X

Wow that’s a great selection he brought home! I love Japanese slippers but I love Moet Champagne even more. 😉 Enjoy!

Nothing like a Japanese Slipper. Have you tasted Duperrey Champagne? It is my favourite! Give it a go, you will love it. I think it is better than Moet!
