Cooking with Chards: Meal Plan

Here we are again… Monday morning and the middle of April, geez. I need to do some serious baking today, the containers are completely empty and they are out all week mustering etc so will need stuff to take. I will be trotting out:

BUTTERCAKE Cupcakes – butterfly cakes to be exact
BROWNIES – can’t believe I don’t have the recipe on the blog for these – how did that happen – I will sort that out my friends, watch this space.
CHOC CHIP COOKIES

I made some butterfly cakes last week, and I think they lasted about one day, so clearly they were a hit.

I just use a buttercream icing in the middle, it is usually just plain white but this pink was some left over icing I already had so I just used that. So pretty and manly don’t you think?

Ok, now to our meal plan for this week…

Recipes:

CRUMBED STEAK
POTATO BAKE
OVEN BAKED RISSOLES
SWEET’N’SOUR CHICKEN

Thought I had better feed the boys some crumbed steak before they head back to boarding school next week. I can’t believe it is the last week of holidays up here. Tom has headed out working today so maybe there will be less fighting. Clancy will surely be my baking assistant in the kitchen, he is quite the chef.

The kids and I managed to get off the station briefly on the weekend and headed over to Mrs Savvy B’s for a quick visit. It was great and I am feeling a little recharged.

We had a lovely bbq last night on our lawn and I trotted out a deconstructed hot steak and crunchy potato salad – always a winner!
