Benefit San Francisco

Benefit Cosmetics.  Have you heard of this amazing place?  It has come to my attention that there are so many people out there who have never heard of the Benefit brand and have no idea that this Browbar even exists, even those who live in Cities & civilisation.  Don’t worry people, I am here to enlighten you.  And believe me, you won’t be sorry.  Turns out I am not the only one who has been living under a rock! It is not just for eyebrows either – it is all things beauty and very trendy!

I first read about Benefit on Sonia Styling’s Blog, and you can read about it here.  I also read about it on Redcliffe Stye. On a recent trip to Brisbane I just had to visit.  This gorgeous Benefit Brow Bar is in Myer, Queen Street Mall and is located  in the Cosmetics Department.   I was just beside myself to finally be there.  I booked an eyebrow wax and it was game on.  This place is a real game changer for those of us who are quite challenged in the brow area.  Or any area for that matter.  Rachel was my beautician and was so helpful, demonstrating all sorts of products on me.

My top 3 Benefit Products:

1. Gimme Brow
Brow volumizing fibre gel $32.00 (I have “Light/Med” colour)

Gimme Brow O…..My……God.  This stuff is amazing.  I am hooked.  It doesn’t matter anymore how long I go between eyebrow tints because this stuff does the trick.  It has a mascara like wand and adds fibres and colour to your brows, just your brows – not your skin.  Unbelievable!!!!  Not only does it add fibre and colour but it also brushes your brows and shapes them in the right direction and keeps them in place.  You have to try it, seriously!  It is so great that I just had to share this unattractive selfie I took….. check it out!  Now do you believe me? Me   Gimme Wand 2. Fake Up
$35.00 (I have this in “light”)

This is a concealer stick.  I also purchased this little brush to apply ($31.00).  I have never really used a concealer but this one has changed my mind and does wonders for your confidence!  Helps tired dark eyes too.  And what a cool name. Fake Up   3. The POREfessional
$53.00

This PRO balm helps to minimize the appearance of pores.  It really does work.  Rachel demonstrated it on me, over my make up and I was sold.  Thank you Rachel, yes, I would like to purchase one.  Brow Bar 3

Pore Fessional   More products I love….

High Brow – a brow lifting pencil.  Apply under the brow and smudge with your finger

High Brow   They’re Real – Mascara.  Rachel gave me this one, it is a sample.  I have tried it and I must say I am quite impressed.  I am pretty fussy when it comes to mascara and have tended to stick with the one brand, but I may be switching to this one.  The samples they give you are very generous in size.  They don’t try to push their products onto you, but they have no hesitation in handing you samples, which I really love.  You can try without the pressure to buy.  Just one more thing I love about the Brow Bar!!! They're real

My sister-in-law who lives in New York took me to Benefit when I was visiting. So cool.

Since then I have been a complete convert – you can buy the products on-line from Adore Beauty. If you need a fix and can’t get to Myer…..!

How good is it to have your brows professionally done?! And the right products certainly help. I’ve got my brow appointment on Thursday and I cannot wait – it’s been a while!

I know Anya, I thought I was the only one living under a rock but was amazed to learn that so many people had never heard of this wonderful place. Hope you find one.

I just googled it Anya and found this article (Smith & Caughey’s Aukland). There is also a counter at Aukland International Airport. Not sure if this helps at all.

There is definitely one in Adelaide. It is in the Myer City Store. Sonia Styling wrote all about it. She is from Adelaide. You will have to check it out on you next trip to Adelaide.

Only the girls at the Benefit Brow bar allowed to touch my brows. They always do an awesome job. I need to try the Gimme brow. It looks great! Rachel x
