Basically it is the ultimate try on session, with the freedom to order up to $1,000 worth of styles to try before you buy! When you upgrade your order to a birds nest Changeroom for $9.95, they will send up to $1,000 worth of gear for you to try on, and a paid returns bag to send back anything you don’t love.
This means you have the freedom to try everything on before deciding what to keep, and you only pay for what you don’t send back!!! How great is that. If you choose to pay with a ZipPay account, there are no upfront costs at all. What have you got to lose.
How fantastic is that?! Especially when you are unsure of sizing. Just order a few sizes and keep the one that fits.

I’m wearing a size 10 but do wish that I ordered this in an 8 to try on as well (I ordered a 12 & 10), it is a very relaxed fit, but my goodness it is comfy, it is like wearing a nighty during the day – I am in love with this dress!

And the verdict? Well I will tell you something for nothing my friends…. Birdsnest have sooooooo many items to choose from on their website. So many! In the dress section alone there are hundreds I am sure. I sifted and sifted and sifted and found these few that I was keen to try. I have quite a classic style and must admit that I did find it a little hard to find something that met my fussy/classic taste. I was a little disappointed with the lack of pink clothing… you all know how much I love my pink don’t you. Anyway, you can thank me later because I have saved you the hassle of hunting for yourself.
With all 4 dresses I ordered 2 sizes – a 10 and a 12 – and have decided to keep 2. I will be keeping the navy Bright Spotty Dress and also the Bird Keepers Swing Dress. They are both super comfy, great length and nice and cool. I think he Bright Spotty number will be great to travel in, those long days I spend in the car. Both will be fantastic for our beach holiday and they will also be wonderful to wear here at home. I can dress them up or down.
I think the Rasaleela Georgie Capri dress (the green patterned one) looks better in the photos than it does on, I found the neckline a little low for my liking and the pattern colouring isn’t really to my taste. Having said that it is a lovely cool cotton dress. Really nice length (I am 165cm tall). It is a beautiful dress, just not for me.
The White Cotton Wrap dress is also lovely, comfy and cool but I just didn’t feel the love in this one. I don’t think it was very flattering on me, made me look quite wide and a bit busty. Having said that it fit me no worries (size 12) and definitely didn’t gape at the neckline and the wrap part at the legs didn’t gape either, I would have been very comfy wearing this out and about.
That is another great thing about Birdsnest. Every item has “reviews” where people give their honest opinions, so you usually know to order up or down or where the problems are. I should have known to order a much smaller size in the swing dress because the reviews told me, I just didn’t think it would be so big.
I did want to order a couple of other dresses but they didn’t have the sizes I needed. So I requested an email to let me know when they come in. Although with Boarding School and holidays coming up I think I should stop spending, so sadly won’t be ordering these. I just love that green spotty number. And imagine how comfy that sleeveless dress would be.

So tell me. Are you already a Birdsnest fan? I am sure many of you are. And if you aren’t…. have you been living under the same rock as me? ha ha ha. I hope I have given you some shopping inspiration. It is so good to have online clothing businesses like this when you live remotely. They are always so fast with their delivery too. Often our mail up here can take weeks to get to us but Birdsnest orders always arrive within the week.

Yep love birdsnest mainly because I despise shopping! Unless it involves loads of books, cars, livestock, machinery, property then I’m in! I tend to get quite agitated and cross when shopping and detest the city my sister reckons I’m hell to take to the city ergo the reason why I choose to live away from the city! Unfortunately the time comes when mum decides my clothes aren’t worth repairing and I need to look semi decent apparently?? Last I heard the sheep, dog and bird weren’t complaining how I looked at all, my colleagues also heavens complained yet… if I’m very unlucky dad also complains about my clothing, so it goes dad has a word to mum, mum has a word to me and I’m dragged kicking and screaming and very cross to go shopping! This never ends well for those with with as I’m inevitably bored and want to go home so the idea is to get in and out as quick as possibly so I basically practicallly run through the shops grabbing things that may make parentals happy and racking up credit card bills 🙁🙁 fortunantly mum and my idea of shopping is get it done as quickly and painlessly as possible! Then point th car home.

Hehe no worries as you can see mum hasn’t killed me and I haven’t done likewise to her yet… am currently telling the pet sheep( all dads might I add! ) we can’t leave him alone last time mum and I went to dongara to look after Nanna and Grandy by the time we got back we had acquired yet another sheep apparently he gave dad a sad look and a circus ensued of getting the damn sheep and mum had several phone calls to and from dad regarding the sheep! Alas I’m not allowed to eat the lamb, mutton or hoggett sitting in our paddocks, as you can see I’m not fussy just hungry and besides the amount of grog one of the mutton sheep drinks he’ll be deliciously not to mention well marinated…
Gah meant telling them to grow their wool quicker as prices are up and currently there’s a grand or more worth of wool in our yard! Sorry got distracted oh look a shiny car for sale 😉
