Ok so it is no secret that one of my favourite fashion labels of all times is Gumnut Designz.
And it is no secret that the gorgeous lady behind this successful label is none other than my good friend Sal Towne. Just look at her would you…
I just took this photo this morning as she is busy getting ten thousand kids ready to drive around all day to different sports. Today Sal is rocking the Classical Blouse – just perfect for the hot day that is ahead of us. Doesn’t she look great?! I am so happy to be catching up with Sal, in Mount Isa, this week for Sports for Bush Kids.
It really does warm my heart just thinking about what a great job she has done to create such a beautiful line of clothing. It all started with this simple yet stylish girls pillow case dress: the Clancie Summerdaze…
All of Sal’s clothes are 100% Australian made. The fabric is second to none my friends, high quality 100% cotton – perfect for the hot Aussie summers, so lovely and cool.
Oh and you had me at bow Sal… I do love a good bow and given that I don’t have any girls to dress up it just means I need to wear all the pink, ribbon & bows I possibly can.
Sal is a total pocket rocket. She and her husband manage a huge cattle station north of Tennant Creek and have 4 kids, of which 2 are twins. Yep, she had 4 under three and a half. I think she has only just come out of that kid fog in the past few years.
Sal came up north years ago and was one of the first Jillaroo’s on the Barkly. This woman could do anything, I swear to god. Give her a job and it will get done. I honestly don’t know how she does it all to tell you the truth. Amazing!!!
To see the Gumnut Designz range you can head over to her website www.gumnutdesignz.com
Do you want to know the best thing about Gumnuts? You can design your own. Pick a style and pick the fabric you would like and just send through a purchase request telling Sal exactly what you want. They do longer skirts, longer shirts, longer sleeves, anything is possible really. Her dressmaker really is brilliant. Oh and they have even started making a maternity shirt…
So are you looking for something cool for summer? Perhaps something for your kids. They also have a stunning range of winter blouses, don’t even get me started on those frills. Oh hold me.
One of my favourite blouses is the Country Classic Frill
Sadly Sal lost her Mum – Jill – to breast cancer a few years ago. She named the Jilly Classic after her Mum and 5% of all profits made from the sale of these blouses will be donated to Breast Cancer Research. Here it is…
If you haven’t already checked out Gumnut Designz then please do yourself a favour and support this genuine Aussie label, I promise you won’t be sorry.
Perhaps you already have some Gumnuts. We would love too see how spunky you look out and about. Share your photos over on Instagram: @gumnutdesignz using the hashtag: #gumnutdesignz
